As we all know that content plays a key role in deciding your blog to stand in the present market.we can also mention content has the capability of bringing dollars or taking dollars away from you .

lets say if you have a blog with a content which is “hot ” in the field of information.you may get a dollar with google AdSense or with any advertising  programme.if your content is similar to the bad stuff available in the market , even you many not get paid for hosting bills also.i think you may now come to an idea of importance of niche.

lets discuss some tips while selecting  your niche

*Do a research on the present niche market and find niches in which many people want to talk more

*Among the hot niche’s available in the market .select the one in which you love the niche and capable of writing tons of post (this is the best thing most web masters do)

*The most important thing is the percentage of your readers convinced by your post.and they has to think that you are serving them with high rate of content .

*opt the money making keywords which play a role in serving high ppc and ppm ad units

*niches on making money online,Internet marketing, have high rate of competition .so if you are beginner in blogging so better to start one which is of not so competitive

*many authors who have been writing content to article directories mainly concentrate on the topics of high paying keywords.if you are capable of defending yourself from them you can do select that niche.

WordPress – The Ultimate Blog Platform?

Posted by | Posted in Tips | Posted on 30-11-2009

We have, as you all might have seen, chosen WordPress as our blogging platform for our internet marketing business and that is for some very good reasons. Below is a (somewhat  subjective) review and reasons behind our choice.  Fist off some Advantages and Disadvantages.

Advantages

WordPress is FREE

WordPress has tons of plugins that will help you optimize your blog according to your needs and requirements

WordPress is very easy to install and use

WordPress has thousands of followers and developers that continously imrpove and delvelop plugins, tools and software

Disadvantages

We have some difficulties using the editor, so we use a free html editor called NVU (Click HERE to check NVU) – make the post there and copy it into the WordPress “Add New Post” editor

A lot of spamboots and automatic comment poster “attack” WordPress blog posts

Except for that we haven’t found any weaknesses or disadvantages so far.

Plugins:
Plugins are small softwares that is developed by either WordPress OR webdesigners like you and me, in order to complete and optimize WordPress.  There are literally thousands of plugins developed, soe not so good and some truly amazing.  Below is a couple of examples of plugins just to give you an idea of what it really is:

Plugin 1: http://tweetmeme.com/about/retweet_buttonTweetMeme – this FREE plugin puts a small button on every blog post which enables your visitors to easily share YOUR blog post link to all their Twitter followers. HIGHLY reccomended (check it in the upper right hand corner of this post)

Plugin 2: MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate – this $97 plugin enables you to manage ALL your affiliate links, create your own link names etc etc.

We’ll cover some really good, both free and paid, plugins in later posts, but we just like to mention specifically that there are some excellent plugins for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) that will drive free traffic to your website/blog.

Software:
In the blogging world there are constant need for different softwares, and for WordPress (and other blog platforms) there are a lot of good ones developed. Again, just to give you an idea of what we’re talking about, here is an example:

Artisteer – this software enables you to MAKE your OWN WordPress themes (soon also Blogger/Blogspot) without knowing any html codes.  You can set the width of your blog, colors, header, footer……you name it – you can do it with Artisteer.  An excellent software if you’re setting up and managing many blogs.

We’ll of course cover Artisteer and other softwares more detailed in later posts.

Conclusion:
WordPress is in our eyes the ultimate blog platform for your internet marketing and business.  It has ALL the features and tweks we’re looking for and it continues to develop and improve day by day.  Before you chose your blogging platform, you definately have to evaluate WordPress and see if it’s suitable for you.

Thanks for taking time to read this review, and whatever choice you make – we wish you all the best in your business endeavours.

PS! Comments and suggestions are HIGHLY welcomed :-)

Yours Respectfully

3 Ways to Maintain Fresh Quality Content

Posted by | Posted in Tips | Posted on 30-11-2009

Quality content is the heart and soul of any blog that is on the internet whether its purpose is for marketing or not. Having and dispensing useful information is the key to attracting traffic to your site. Just as important is maintaining a constant flow of fresh quality information in order to keep the traffic coming back. Therefore it is important for any blog with aspirations of future growth to establish some type of content development strategy.

Whether you are driving traffic to your site with promotional content or perhaps rely upon attracting search engine traffic the need for a continuous flow of good information exists.

Let’s have a look at 3 ways that you can in which you can ‘source’ out fresh content that can be used in any way you see fit for your blog.

Brainstorm

Ask yourself what is it that ‘I’ want or need to know more about. As you know there is always something new to be learned and as I go through the process I gather my research material. Once I have learned what it is I was researching I share it with others by writing about it.

Another ‘angle’ to use here would be to also share the ‘mindset’ you may be experiencing such as confusion, discouragement, frustration or elation. All these feelings come into play when operating an online business therefore they are worth writing about. Explain how you mange these situations or perhaps how to avoid them in the future. Insights are what people often look for and learn from so share yours in the form of content you use for your business.

I use these approaches quite often when composing either posts or articles for distribution.

Go Out into Your Niche

Go out into your blog community and visits other sites that have themes related to yours. Listen in on and become part of the discussions at these sites. Contribute when you have something of value to share but learn to also ‘actively’ listen in order to pick up on new ideas or the insights of others. Learning is a two way street here where others can also serve you by sharing their insights.

You can just imagine how much these visits can contribute to the content development of your own blog or promotional materials you distribute for traffic generation.

This serves a twofold purpose insofar as you not only pick up new information to write about but you can also ‘spread the word’ about your sites

Invite Guest Bloggers

By maintaining a steady flow of quality information on your site you WILL get noticed. At this point it can be also expected that you will have offers/requests for others to place a post on your blog. Take this offer ONLY after verifying the level of content this blogger produces for their own site.

By introducing new ‘blood’ into your blog you are most likely offering a new perspective and tone which your readers will enjoy.

Providing quality content for your blog is of primary importance for your site to grow and prosper. Maintaining a steady stream of useful information is what attracts readers to your site. However genuine quality information is also needed for promotional purposes as well as site content therefore some type of content development strategy is needed. The 3 techniques we reviewed above can easily create a steady stream of good information that can be used for either your blog itself or to be circulated around to generate traffic. In the end whether you are driving traffic to your site with promotional materials or attracting search engine traffic it is best to have a strategy that helps supply the content you need.

3 SEO Tips to Increase Blog Traffic

Posted by | Posted in Tips | Posted on 29-11-2009

Every blog can benefit from additional traffic and sometimes all it takes is just a few simple SEO tips to make this happen. Increasing blog traffic can be done several ways and often it involves a good amount of time and effort. But by applying a few simple techniques that lack the involvement of much time or effort any blog can start to enjoy plenty of free online advertising. Once certain SEO techniques are implemented and maintained you can expect to attract an avalanche of search engine traffic which is the best traffic of all since it is targeted and free.

Let’s look at 3 simple tactics you can use to make your blog more search engine friendly thereby attracting more targeted traffic to your site.

Blog Posting

Your blog posting needs to maintain a consistency in regards to the subject the post is about. Each post should only focus on one subject and not ‘stagger’ around onto various topics. Firstly this will make it hard for you to properly optimize the post with keywords and will only serve to confuse search engines that are trying to rank that post.

The other obvious drawback to wandering away from your topic will be the confusion it will create for your readers.

In effect you will be creating a ‘double edge’ sword that likely will have negative results with both your readers and the search engines.

Incoming Links

Quite simply the more incoming links your blog has the better. Having other sites link to yours is viewed quite often as a barometer of the ‘popularity’ of your blog. When these links originate from higher ranking sites they tend to carry more ‘influence’ thereby helping to boost your own ranking.

The best way to gain links like this is to maintain good quality content on your blog and to post often. By posting frequently you attract search engine spiders to crawl your site for the new content. Every time this is done it helps to ‘bump’ your site in the rankings which makes it more noticeable to not only new readers but to other sites as well.

Internal Linking

As you build up the number of posts to your blog you will want to start linking similar posts to one another. It is inevitable and expected that most of your blog posting will contain parallel thoughts and ideas. It is wise and encouraged to link these posts so your reader can easily navigate around your blog to find similar material to what they are currently reading.

This strategy also makes it easy for search engines to ‘crawl’ your site and find all the relevant content you have posted.

Now there is much more to this particular strategy which will need to be covered in more depth in another article. For the time being however realize that linking your post together based upon their similar content is a very important SEO technique

The 3 SEO tips we discussed here today, if done correctly, should enable you to increase both the amount free online advertising and blog traffic you receive. These simple techniques served to make your site more search engine friendly leading to a higher ranking for your blog. Needless to say the end result will be an increase in the search engine traffic you will receive at your blog.
