Top Rankings Are Possible With Well Optimized Web Pages

Posted by | Posted in Internet Marketing | Posted on 09-10-2009

After you’ve selected the keywords you want to optimize your website for, you need to focus on what is called on-page optimization. On page optimization is what you do on your website pages to improve organic rankings. The good news is that through years of research and experimentation I have identified the most important on page factors for improving organic rankings.

When contemplating how to optimize your web site pages, there are a number of things to consider. The most important aspects of on page optimization are meta tags, the speed at which your page loads, and the URLs you’re using. Even though this brief list may seem obvious to some, they are the most powerful aspects of on page optimization.

Meta tags are important to web site rankings because they provide some basic information to search engine spiders. Meta tags need to be formatted correctly to enhance search engine rankings. My research as shows that meta tags by themselves cannot radically improve rankings. However, they may be used to verify other aspects of your website and are important for getting users to click through from search engine results.

Meta tags should have a title tag which has your most important keywords and contains no more than 60 characters. This is the number of characters that can be shown on Google search results. Your description tag which is also displayed in search results after a user does a search engine query, should be no more than 150 characters. This tag is most effective when mentioning your keywords two times.

The last meta tag worthy of description is the keyword tag. I see this tag misused all too often and it may actually be hurting your search engine rankings. When using a keyword tag, focus on only a dozen of your most important and highly trafficked keywords. You want the search engines to know that you are an authority site and worthy of top rankings. Do your research and only include the keywords that truly matter. You can also evaluate the sites in the top positions and model their keywords as long as they are included on your web site or blog.

Once you have your meta tags within your web page code it’s time to focus on the next on page optimization factor. The load time of your web pages matter a great deal to Google and other search engines. Not only does your web page need to be properly formatted but it needs to load quickly. Fast loading web sites mean a better user experience. Search engines like Google reward you for providing the right information quickly to web site browsers. Try to keep load times to a minimum and continually work to improve the speed at which your site loads.

The last but certainly one of the most important factors we are going to discuss is URL structure. It is true that having your keyword in the URL helps but it is not the only or the most heavily weighed optimization factor by Google. There are plenty of examples of sites that include the keyword in the URL but don’t rank as well as their competitors. If you can purchase a URL that has your keyword in it though, consider it advantageous. If you are unable to do so, consider adding a folder or page to your site that includes the keyword you want to optimize your site for. A good example would be www.test.com/keyword. By doing so you are placing your keyword close to the root and giving it more value. Also consider a sub domain strategy.

When thinking about search engine optimization and embarking on your first optimization campaign, start with on page optimization. Focus your efforts on developing a web site that is easily searched and ranked with the help of the on page optimization factors we discussed. The topics we discussed including Meta tags, website load times and domain name are among the most important on page optimization factors you can apply to improve your rankings.

Did you ever try to get into the internet marketing and make money online? Just like offline marketing, Internet marketing is also about the process of buying and selling. But it is the use of online strategies for promoting and advertising products or services. Internet marketing strategies are critical for your success.

The advantage that one gets from internet marketing compared to the old style of product marketing lies mainly on the convenience and its ability to reach a larger market for a lower cost. If you compare gathering data to calculate statistics, I.M. is easier as compared to traditional marketing.

If I.M. has pros, it also has its limits. While the IT industry endlessly upgrades, users of the internet don’t have a choice but to follow by buying newer and newer software and hardware. Security problems are also a big issue as various people have become victims of online theft. If you need to feel, touch, smell or taste a product, this is a shopping experience that you are not able to do online.

In these days, the Net plays a more and more important role in our everyday life. Everything and everyone is going online. Many people make full use of the Internet and start to make money online. People normally visit from one internet site to new ones by clicking the links on the page. Therefore, you can place your link on some well-visited sites; in this way, you can increment the chances of people visiting your site. If your link popularity grows, your website can go higher in search engines, which, in return, will result in more revenue.

Online marketing may seem easy, but it needs your expert knowledge of the net and the algorithms of the search engines. In these days, search engines become bigger and smarter, hence, you have to devote much time and energy keeping yourself up-to-date with any changes in the way search engines work.

Discover Some Of The Greatest Actors

Posted by | Posted in Internet Marketing | Posted on 07-10-2009

Each person has their own opinion on great actors and great movies. Nobody is more right or more wrong because it is just an opinion but it is fun to have favorites and enjoy. Some actors have immense talent, and some actors are easy on the eyes and then there are the actors that are both. We admire some actors more for what they do off the screen than onscreen, as some of them are great individuals who use their fame and fortune to help others and the world.

Tom Hanks is an remarkable talent. It is rather shocking that he got his start in a goofy TV show called “Bosom Buddies”. Later he played an amazing role as Andrew Beckett, a gay lawyer who was infected by the AIDS virus and took on his own conservative law firm for firing him because of the fear that they may also contract the disease. Tom won his first Academy Award for that role in 1993.

His following Academy Award came just the next year making him only the second actor in history to win back-to-back Oscars with Spencer Tracy being the first back in 1937 and 1938. In 1994 Tom Hanks again took home the Oscar for his moving portrayal of Forrest Gump. He also has a list of other great movies but it is too lengthy to cover here.

Brad Pitt has been recognized for his pretty boy good looks since he first came on the scene in the 1991 film “Thelma and Louise”. Although he hasn’t always played the role of the pretty boy. If you remember “Seven” and “Twelve Monkeys” both from 1985 you know what I mean. While the tabloid press seems to take his personal life and overshadow his movie roles, what is the most commendable thing about Brad Pitt is his vow to humanitarian causes throughout the world. He always donates hefty sums of his riches to help people that are less fortunate.

When Hurricane Katrina practically wiped out the whole city of New Orleans, Brad Pitt started the “Make it Right Foundation”. The foundation was created to aid in the redevelopment of the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. They build affordable and sustainable homes that are true to the diverse culture of the city of New Orleans. The goal was to complete the building of the homes fast so that the residents could return to their homes as soon as possible. These things have been Brad Pitt’s true success.

And that brings us to one more great actor who is also known for his philanthropy. Paul Newman left us as he passed away this past year on September 26, 2008. During his life he entertained us with many great movies such as “Road to Perdition” in 2002, “The Color Of Money” in 1986, “Absence Of Malice” in 1981. He also played the leading role in the well known and much loved favorite “Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid” from clear back in 1969. Of course he played in a extensive number of other notable movies too.

But like Brad Pitt, Paul Newman was also known for his charity. In 1982 with a colleague he created a line of food products called “Newman’s Own”. It started with salad dressing and ever since then it has expanded to include pasta sauce, lemonade, popcorn, salsa, cookies and other items. Newman established a policy that all of the proceeds from Newman’s Own, after taxes, would be donated to charity. As of early 2006, the business had donated in excess of $250 million.

We will always have our favorite movies and our favorite actors and actresses. We may love them because of their talent or for other reasons but now that we can download full-length, high quality movies immediately on the Internet at least we won’t have to miss any of their movies.
