A Private Label Rights ( PLR ) Glossary

Posted by | Posted in Info | Posted on 16-11-2008

The following are just a few of the most widely used
Private Label Rights ( PLR ) terms

1. Non-Transferable PLR – this means that you cannot resell or give away the Private Label Rights to anyone else, including your customers. Basically you are allowed to edit and personalize the content before selling the product.

This is the best way to maintain a very high value to the product.

2. PLR & Master Rights – you are also allowed to pass on and/or resell the product’s Source Code/PLR to your customers. This has the appearance to be a great way to make online money, and it can be, however if everyone has the ability to resell the resell rights then the product can become quickly de-valued.

This use to be a major problem when you were allowed to sell digital downloadable products on Ebay. Before long, a high priced PLR product would be selling on Ebay for 99 cents.

This has become less of a problem – but the value can easily be deflated with this method of PLR marketing.

3. No Restriction PLR - as it is self-explanatory, you are free to do just about anything with the Private Label Content.

The usage is often almost as unlimited as Public Domain works.

This type of PLR product is best used as content and most likely not a good investment for resell. The other, but possibly more time consuming use for this method of PLR Marketing, and the most profitable, is to completely redo it from top to bottom and basically use it as the basis of a brand new unique product you can call your own and market it any way you like.

This is a “Get You Started” glossary, so please leave comments on additional glossary terms you believe should be added. Lets make this Our Complete PLR Glossary.
